The routine
Alfen runs its own 13-week rolling forecast, updated every week, with the same structure I build with clients.
The results
September's close was complete and reported on 1 October, the first working day of the month: one working day from month-end to a finished report. I often see eighteen. The forecast is not judged on predicting perfectly. It is judged on seeing far enough ahead, every week, to run the business without surprises. A forecast made 13 weeks ago is expected to be off by now, because it is adjusted weekly.
What this does not prove yet
These are early results from a small, simple business in its first months. The real test is whether the same discipline holds as Alfen's own volume and complexity grow.
